10 black-owned beauty brands to try right now
One question that I think is important to ask yourself when considering your own allyship is “How am I making the causes I care about a part of my lifestyle?” Donating to non-profit organizations, signing petitions, and voting are all essential parts of the journey—but what opportunities do we have to uplift and empower with our day-to-day purchase decisions?
With beauty products being my biggest obsession, I sought out to find Black-owned businesses with some stellar products that I could rotate into my own routine. In exploring these beauty brands, I found some amazing products that have really changed the game for me (hello KNC Beauty lip masks and Briogeo natural deodorant!) all while learning about the kick-ass Black entrepreneurs who are redefining the industry.
